Press Brake Operator

Duties

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to blueprints and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances
• Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job
• Load and unload materials onto the press brake machine
• Adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment, speed, and pressure
• Monitor machine operation to detect any malfunctions or defects
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Perform routine maintenance on the press brake machine

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dalem control operator is necessary
• Know how to use a Cincinnati or Durma Press Brake machine
• Able to read and understand print drawings
• Math and problem-solving abilities are essential
• Self-starter who can follow instructions and work with little supervision
• Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to work as part of a team

You should be proficient in:

• Blueprint Reading
• Metal Casting Experience
• Shop Math Skills
• Proficiency in operating press brake machines
• Knowledge of stamping press operations
• Experience in machining, assembly, electrical discharge machining (EDM), welding, or lathe work is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Familiarity with using measuring tools such as micrometers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Forklift certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Ascertains that the unit is correctly set up and operating at full capacity
• Ascertains that the finished product is defect-free and ready for the next step in the manufacturing process
• Responsible for the machine's essential maintenance and cleaning on a regular basis
• Aids in the organization and cleanliness of the work environment
• Follows all safety requirements and corporate policies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
